Dallas Police
45 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a welfare check in the 10000 block of Steppington Drive.
The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found the victim, 29-year-old Brenda Cruz and suspect, 28-year-old Jesus Magana, shot at the location . DFR responded and both the victim and suspect died at the scene.
Further investigation determined the suspect shot the victim before shooting himself.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 232458-2023.
