Dallas Officer Shot on 3200 Block of Easter Avenue

45 am, Dallas Police officers were working in a covert capacity when they saw a vehicle driving erratically in the 3200 block of Easter Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined officers followed the vehicle. At one point, a suspect in the vehicle fired at officers in the unmarked car, going through the driver’s side door hitting an officer in the hip.

Air One and officers pursued the vehicle, eventually taking five suspects into custody in the 7200 block of Chesterfield Drive.

The officer was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery and was last listed in stable condition.

Two suspects were taken to a local hospital, one for chest pain and the other for non-life-threatening injuries.

There is one suspect still at large.

Two guns were recovered, one from the vehicle, another thrown from the suspect vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 041505-2024.
