Dallas Police
20 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 2700 block of 2nd Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found the victim, 32-year-old Mercedes Taylor, shot in a field. DFR responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where she died. Further investigation identified the suspect as 21-year-old Damarquis Green. The suspect was arrested and charged with Murder. This remains an ongoing investigation documented under case number 158212-2024.
