The Dallas Police have made arrests in four business robberies made across the city.
On February 27, 2024, at approximately 5:50pm, Dallas Police responded to a robbery in the area of the 300 block of E. Ledbetter. The preliminary investigation determined two suspects entered the business, threatened to shoot a victim, and stole property, cash, and the victim’s car keys.
The suspects ran from the scene but were spotted by officers a short time later back at the scene, stealing the victim’s vehicle. As the suspects sped away, they almost hit officers with the vehicle. Officer pursued the suspects, who crashed in the 2200 block of Maryland. The suspects ran from the crash but were taken into custody by officers a short time later.
The suspects Jonathan Kirven, 19, and Daquincalyn Joseph, 21, were charged with Aggravated Robbery. Kirven is also charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. This case is documented under case number 032946-2024.
On January 20, 2024, Dallas Police responded to a robbery call in the 3300 block of Oak Lawn Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined two suspects shoplifted from the business and when confronted, one suspect assaulted an employee, seriously injuring the person. The suspects ran from the scene. Robbery Unit Detectives identified one suspect as Richard Green, 35, and a warrant was issued for his arrest for Aggravated Robbery.
On February 23, 2024, Central CRT Officers arrested Green for the robbery. The case is documented under case number 010609-2024.
On February 27, 2024, at around 7:35 am, Dallas Police responded to an armed robbery in the 1400 block of Robert B. Cullum Boulevard. The preliminary investigation determined Quintaria Mitchell, 26, threatened a victim with a knife, robbed the store, and ran from the scene with three other suspects waiting outside the business. Officers located Mitchell a short distance away and took her into custody. This case is documented under case 032601-2024
On February 26, 2024, at around 2:30 pm, Dallas Police were called to the 10900 block of Harry Hines Boulevard. The preliminary investigation determined Demitrious Gunn, 31, pushed the victim to the ground inside a business, injuring the victim. Gunn stole items from the store and ran from the scene. He was located by officers a short time later and arrested. Gunn was charged with Aggravated Robbery. This case is documented under case number 032225-2024.
The four robberies do not appear to be linked at this time. These arrests are the result of great work of both patrol, CRT and robbery detectives.
