Dallas Police
55 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of The Mall. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found 45-year-old Zanthia Harris, shot, at the location. Harris was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.
Further investigation identified a suspect, 50-year-old John Harris. He was arrested, taken to Dallas County Jail, and was charged with Murder.
The victim and suspect were known to one another.
This investigation is ongoing and is documented on case number 031845-2025.
