Dallas Police investigate capital murder in the 9500 block of Scyene Road.
On December 27, 2023, at about 9:15 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 9500 block of Scyene Road.
The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Jamarcus Irving and another victim shot. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded, and Irving died at the scene. DFR transported the second victim to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Further investigation determined Irving and the second victim were shot by unknown suspects who left the location.
The second victim is not being identified at this time pending next of kin notification.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 230709-2023.
