Dallas Police Investigate Homicide on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd

35 p.m. Dallas Police responded to a call in the 3200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The preliminary investigation determined the 911 caller said 28-year-old Mark Beechum was at the location and wanted to turn himself in for a murder. Officers responded to the scene and took him into custody.

Officers responded to the 500 block of W. Saner Avenue where they found 75-year-old Leamon Beechum on the floor of the home

The investigation determined an argument between the suspect and victim turned physical and Leamon Beechum died at the scene.

Mark Beechum was charged with Murder and taken to the Dallas County Jail.
