On October 5, 2023, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting in the 9700 Webb Chapel Road. The man was taken to a local hospital.
On October 8, 2023, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office contacted the Dallas Police Homicide Unit and said the man died of his injuries.
The preliminary investigation determined the victim slept in a homeless encampment behind businesses in the 9700 block of Webb Chapel.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will assist in identifying the victim.
