Dallas Police
30 p.m., the Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 1000 block of Cheyenne Road.
The preliminary investigation determined that 21-year-old Desmond Valentine was shot at the location by the suspect, Jeremy Walker. Desmond was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Jeremy was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault – Deadly Weapon.
On Monday, October 16, 2023, Desmond died from his injuries, and the case was reassigned to the Homicide Unit. The charge against Jeremy has been upgraded to Murder. Jeremy remains in the Dallas County Jail.
