Dallas Police
20 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 1600 block of Murdock Road.
The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found a woman, 35-year-old Dishaye Stevenson, shot on the side of the road. Stevenson died at the scene.
Further investigation identified the suspect as 39-year-old Michael Smith. Smith was located by officers, arrested and charged with Murder. He was taken to the Dallas County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and is documented under case number 190527-2023.
