35 PM officers responded to a shooting call in the 3500 block of Fawn Valley Drive. The preliminary investigation determined the suspect and 27-year-old Randy Mota-Bastida were fighting when the suspect shot Mota-Bastida and another man. Both men were taken to a local hospital where Mota-Bastida died from his injuries. The second victim is in stable condition. Further investigation identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jonathan Gutierrez. An at-large warrant has been issued for Gutierrez. This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 012346-2024.
