Dallas Police
30 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4400 block of S. Marsalis Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found 30-year-old Shaketta Johnson, shot in a parking lot. Dallas Fire Rescue responded and Johnson died.
Further investigation determined Johnson was inside her vehicle when two suspects fired multiple times into the car. The suspects, pictured, then left the scene, one in a blue Mazda sedan, also pictured, and a black Mercedes (not pictured). The cars left southbound on S. Marsalis.
The case is ongoing and documented under case number 057725-2024.
