Dallas Police
25 p.m., officers responded to a call for service in the 5900 block of Belt Line Road. The preliminary investigation determined an unknown suspect was traveling westbound in a white newer model Acura MDX (pictured below) when they struck a 6-year-old girl in the street. The suspect pulled into an adjacent parking lot and then fled the scene without rendering aid. The vehicle was last seen heading westbound on Belt Line Road. Dallas Fire Rescue responded and transported the child to a local hospital where she died. This remains an ongoing investigation documented under case number 022427-2025.
The child’s name will not be released due to their age.
