Dallas Police investigate shooting in the 2700 block of Lenway Street.
On December 25, 2023, at about 2:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2700 block of Lenway Street.
The preliminary investigation determined that when officers arrived, they found 37-year-old Michael Mitchell shot at the location. Mitchell died at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and has been referred to the Dallas County Grand Jury.
The investigation is documented under case number 229828-2023.
