10 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3500 block of Villaverde Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found two adult males and two adult females shot in an apartment. The victims died at the scene.
Further investigation identified two suspects, Artemio Maldonado, 18, and Azucena Sanchez, 20.
Around 9:30 pm, Dallas Police located the suspect vehicle in the 2700 block of Northhaven Road and both suspects were taken into custody just after 10:00 pm.
Maldonado and Sanchez were taken to Dallas Police Headquarters and to the Dallas County Jail and each charged with Capital Murder.
The names of the victims are not being released at this time while family notifications are made.
An infant was in the apartment during the shooting but was not hurt.
The investigation is ongoing and documented under case number 042506-2023.
