On Monday, January 1, District Government will observe the New Year’s Day holiday. While some services will be affected, many District employees will continue serving to maintain essential District operations.
Mayor Bowser will also host residents and visitors at the Fresh Start 5K on New Year’s Day. Residents can register for the 5K in advance at fitdcfreshstart5k.com. In-person registration begins at 10 am on January 1 and the race begins at 11 am, beginning at Freedom Plaza.
