Deadly Shooting at 8800 S Polk Street

Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect in the homicide in the 8800 block of S. Polk Street.

On April 8, 2023, at about 11:10 PM Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 8800 block of S. Polk Street.

The preliminary investigation determined Andy Rangel, 24, was shot at the location by an unknown suspect. Rangel was taken to a local hospital and died from his injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s. A composite sketch of the suspect is being provided.

The suspect was last seen leaving the scene as a passenger in a 2006 or 2007 Buick Rendezvous. The driver has been described as female.

This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 059580-2023

The suspect left the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital and died from his injuries. This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 059580-2023
