Dallas Police are investigating a shooting that killed a security guard.
On May 19, 2023 at approximately 3:25 pm Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 8200 block of Westchester. The preliminary investigation determined that a man was shot at the location. The man, a security guard confronted a black male suspect breaking into a car at the scene. A fight broke out, and the suspect shot the victim. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died. The suspect left the scene in a gold sedan. The investigation is ongoing and will be documented on case number 092157-2023.
