Detectives Seek Victims, Info on BB Gun Crimes

Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division are seeking to identify any additional victims and identify the suspects involved in these crimes.

On December 14, 2022, around 12:40 a.m., one victim was asleep in the tent, while second victim was standing outside the tent in the area of Wilshire Boulevard and Lucas Avenue. Both victims heard three pops. The first victim was struck in the head by an unknown projectile causing injury and the second victim was hit in the right cheek.

On December 20, 2022, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., in the area of Ingraham Street and Witmer Street an unknown suspect shot the victim in the face with a BB gun or air gun.

On December 23, 2022, around 2:00 a.m., in the area of Wilshire Boulevard and Witmer Street the victim was struck by unknown caliber bullet in the back.

On January 12, 2023, around 5:10 a.m., in the 1200 block of Wilshire Boulevard the victim was sitting in his wheelchair when he felt two impacts to the head.

On January 14, 2023, around 3:00 a.m., in the area of Wilshire Boulevard and Witmer Street an unknown suspect shot the victim with a pellet gun.

On February 16, 2023, around 3:15 a.m., in the 1200 block of Wilshire Boulevard the suspect used an unknown pellet gun to shoot the victim in the head.

The suspects committed a total of seven crimes around the area of Wilshire Boulevard, Ingraham Street and Witmer Street to Lucas Avenue.
