Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4100 Mallow Street about 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday (December 3).
The identity of the deceased female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Southeast Patrol Division Officers B. Capuchino and V. Gara reported:
The female was in the crosswalk at the intersection of Mallow Street and Scott Street when she was struck by a white Ford pickup truck traveling southbound on Scott Street and turning left onto Mallow. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene .
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the female to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.
