Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2100 Kirby Drive about 3:20 a.m. today.
The identities of the two deceased males, 20 and 19, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer C. Ballard reported:
The male driver of a silver Lexus GX400 and two male passengers were traveling northbound near the above address. A witness reported seeing the driver lose control of the vehicle, strike a curb and then a tree.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the back seat passenger, 19, deceased. The driver, 20, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The front seat passenger, 20, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation indicates alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
