Fatal Shooting Probe: 4002 Corder Street

The fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4002 Corder Street about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday (March 23) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.

The identity of the deceased male, 44, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. LaFour and Detective G Zavala reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex parking lot at the above address and found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. According to a witness, the males were involved in a verbal dispute which led to both males shooting at each other.

The deceased male suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second male was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

After speaking with the witness, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and it was determined the case would be presented to a grand jury for review.

The investigation is ongoing.
