Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8713 Leycrest Road about 3:45 a.m. today (March 10).
The identity of the victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Brown reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a truck that had crashed into a ditch. The driver of the vehicle had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots and the truck engine accelerating. At this time, there are no known witnesses, suspect description(s) or motive in the shooting.
