The fatal stabbing of a man at 9001 South Braeswood Boulevard about 7:50 a.m. on Monday (April 7) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks and Detective C. Flora reported:
Officers were dispatched to a stabbing call inside an apartment at the above address and found a male with a stab wound to his leg. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
It was learned the male was stabbed by his live-in girlfriend. The female called 911 and attempted life-saving measures until first responders arrived. She provided a statement to detectives on her role in the incident. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined the case would be referred to a grand jury for its review.
