Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian dead.
On November 16, 2023, around 10:35 p.m., a vehicle traveling eastbound Manchester Boulevard collided with a 63-year-old woman who was crossing the street at the intersection of Cimarron Street. The driver of the vehicle fled eastbound Manchester Boulevard without stopping, identifying themselves or rendering air.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the pedestrian deceased atscene. Her identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hitand-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
