20 PM, Dallas Police responded to a call from Dallas Fire Rescue after they were flagged down for a shooting victim in the 4600 block of the E R L Thornton Fwy westbound service road. Dallas Fire Rescue took the victim, a 16-year-old male, to a local hospital where he died.
The preliminary investigation determined the victim and three other people were inside a vehicle driving on Santa Anna Avenue toward Shiloh Road when their side mirror hit the suspect’s vehicle side mirror. The suspect vehicle turned around, drove up to the witness vehicle, and fired multiple shots, one hitting the victim.
The investigation is ongoing and is documented under case number 070395-2023.
The suspect vehicle is described as a beige/tan SUV or truck.
