Dallas Police
50 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 8000 block of Polk Street.
The preliminary investigation determined that a large crowd gathered at the location. The group of people started following 17-year-old David Washington and a fight broke out between them when an unknown suspect shot Washington.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Washington to a local hospital where he died.
This ongoing investigation will be documented under case number 137295-2024.
