Dallas Police
40 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 2800 block of Holmes Street. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Drevonta Wheeler shot. Wheeler was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. Another male victim who was also shot was transported with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented on case number 085009-2023.
