Dallas Police
40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of W Colorado Boulevard. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found an adult male victim on the ground unresponsive. Dallas-Fire-Rescue responded, and the victim died at scene. The case was initially investigated as an unexplained death.
On January 2, 2025, Dallas Police were contacted by the Medical Examiner’s Office, who determined the victim had been shot.
The case was reclassified as a homicide. There is no suspect information available at this time.
The deceased victim’s name will not be released pending family notifications.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented on case number 000071-2025.
