Houston Man Faces Charges for Bauman Road Stabbing Incident

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 9808 Bauman Road about 3:55 p.m. last Friday (November 24).

The suspect, Marlon Elias Aplicano-Maldonado, 37, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 487th State District Court. A booking photo of Aplicano-Maldonado, who is hospitalized, is not available at this time.

The male victim, 40, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives R. Cook and A. Velazquez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a cutting call at the above address and found a male had been stabbed. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital.

According to witnesses, the suspect, later identified as Aplicano-Maldonado, and the victim got into a verbal argument that escalated and resulted in the victim being stabbed by Aplicano-Maldonado. Officers learned the victim struck Aplicano-Maldonado in the head with a pipe during the assault.

Aplicano-Maldonado was detained at the scene and transported to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
