Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 4801 Allendale Road about 1:15 a.m. today (July 7).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Escobar and M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a discharge of a firearm call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim inside a vacant unit. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Neighbors heard gunshots and then what sounded like a person jumping from a second floor window onto the grass.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
