Dallas Police
20 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a welfare check in the 6300 block of Llano Avenue.
The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, Dallas Fire Rescue forced entry into the home and found a woman unresponsive on the floor of the home. The woman died at the scene.
On July 7, 2024, the Dallas County Medical Examiner classified the death as a homicide, and the investigation was reclassified as a murder.
The investigation is ongoing and is documented under case number 103775-2024.
The woman’s identity is not being released pending family notifications.
