Man Killed in Stabbing After Exiting Liquor Store

Los Angeles Police Department South Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the killing of a man in South Los Angeles.

On Friday, November 24, 2023, at around 11:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department 77th Street Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an “Ambulance Cutting” at 8400 South Main Street.

When the officers arrived, they found the victim on the sidewalk, suffering from a stab wound. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital; however, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Detectives are attempting to identify a male Hispanic who the victim had a verbal interaction with outside the liquor store prior to the stabbing. The male Hispanic appears to be in his 20’s and was wearing a dark colored hoodie.

The suspect(s) fled the scene. The motive for the stabbing remains unclear.
