MPD Arrests Suspect in Fatal Shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in fatal shooting in Northwest.

On Friday, August 23, 2024, at approximately 6:57 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Girard Street, Northwest for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Despite all lifesaving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 25-year-old Martinez Robinso, of Waldorf, MD.

On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, as a result of the detective’s investigation and pursuant to an outstanding DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 46-year-old Quateze Moore, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed.
