The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Northwest.
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers responded for a shooting in the 700 block of N Street, Northwest. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, conscious and breathing, suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where he was admitted.
On Saturday, October 5, 2024, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The decedent has been identified as 43-year-old Tiara Thompson of Northwest.
Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police
