The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred in Northwest.
On Monday, September 2, 2024, at approximately 9:56 p.m., two suspects approached the victim in the Unit block of Florida Avenue, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects then stole the victim’s property before fleeing the scene.
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, as a result of detectives’ investigation, a 12-year-old juvenile of Northwest, D.C., was arrested and charged with Robbery (Gun).
This case remains under investigation. Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police
