Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male that occurred at 2215 Avenida La Quinta Street about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday (May 6).
The identity of the victim, 15, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive male lying on a sidewalk in the complex. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined a possible dispute between the male and the unknown suspect(s) had occurred, which led to the shooting.
At this time, there is no known suspect description.
