Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 11249 Bissonnet Street about 12:40 a.m. today (May 3).
The identity of the deceased victim, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective A. Hernandez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a convenience store parking lot at the above address and found one man had been shot. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased. Officers learned another man, 31, running from the location was shot by the same suspect. He was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
A preliminary investigation determined a physical altercation occurred prior to the shooting.
At this time, there is no known suspect(s).
