Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 12500 Shannon Hills Drive about 12:50 a.m. today (May 11).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Escobar and M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address and found the victim lying in the roadway with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned that witnesses heard several male voices prior to the shooting and saw a red vehicle of unknown make and model fleeing the area. At this time there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
