Tampa Police
The Tampa Police Department is investigating a homicide involving two people who are known to each other.
Just before 3:30 a.m. on May 3, 2023, officers were dispatched to a home in the 3300 block of E 26th Avenue in reference to someone being shot. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim with a single gunshot wound to his upper body.
Through investigative means, detectives learned that before the shooting, a verbal altercation took place between the shooter and the decedent at the home. They are relatives.
The investigation is ongoing and any additional updates will be provided by TPD’s Public Information Office via press release.
