HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Yasin and C. Bowling reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in front of a bar at the above address and found two males with gunshot wounds lying on the sidewalk. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced one male deceased. The other male, 32, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation indicated the deceased male, who was known to assist with cleaning at the bar, was sitting in front of the business talking to an unknown Hispanic male. The men then got into a physical altercation which resulted in the victim and a bystander being shot.
Detectives would like to speak to the person of interest and believe he may have information regarding the shooting.
