Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 7400 Long Point Road about 8 p.m. on Tuesday (March 26).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer D. Hoang reported:
The male was crossing Long Point Road near the above address, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by a black, newer model Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck traveling eastbound. The driver did not stop to provide medical assistance and fled the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
