Houston police have learned a pedestrian critically injured in a crash at 9400 Mesa Drive about 9:45 a.m. on January 9 has died from his injuries.
The identity of the male victim, 77, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
The male victim was crossing the roadway eastbound on Mesa Road when he was struck by a black Chevrolet Tahoe turning southbound onto Mesa from westbound Tidwell. The male was transported to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center where, on Friday (January 26) he passed away.
The driver of the Tahoe fled the scene without rendering aid.
