Probe Into Man’s Death at 9605 Southwest Freeway

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found after a fire was extinguished at 9605 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 9 a.m. on Wednesday (January 17).

The male’s identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives V. Nguyen and J. Flores reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a burning building at the above address and were advised the body of an unknown male was found after Houston Fire Department emergency personnel extinguished the fire.

The investigation is pending the male’s manner and cause of death.
