Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 530 Edgebrook Drive about 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday (February 11).
The suspect Jason Isaac Foust, 21, is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court. A booking photo of Foust is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective A. Herrera reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a request for assistance from Houston Fire Department emergency personnel at a residence at the above address. Paramedics found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence where he was pronounced deceased.
Paramedics observed another male (Foust) armed with a gun inside the home. The male was escorted outside and placed the gun inside a car in the driveway, before going back into the home where he was detained by responding officers.
It was learned Foust was the victim’s son.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Foust was subsequently charged for his role in the shooting. He was then booked into the Harris County Jail.
