Tampa Police Arrest Suspect in Silver Oaks Shooting

Tampa Police have arrested 22-year-old Joshua Thomas in connection with the shooting that occurred December 3, 2024, on the 4200 block of Patsy Court.

At around 9:10 a.m. officers responded to the Silver Oaks Apartments in reference to someone shot.

Upon arrival, officers located the adult male victim who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The investigation revealed, both parties, who are known to each other, were at the defendant’s residence, when a verbal altercation escalated. Thomas intentionally grabbed the firearm and shot the victim multiple times.

Thomas was immediately taken into custody on scene and transported to Orient Road Jail.

He is charged with One Felony Count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm and One Felony Count of Aggravated Battery.
