Tampa Police
The Tampa Police Department is currently investigating a single-vehicle traffic fatality that occurred on N. 42nd Street. Preliminary investigation indicates that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
The vehicle, a white Nissan SUV, flipped over while traveling along 42nd St. Officers arrived to find the sole occupant, a male, had been ejected. Although life-saving measures were attempted, the male succumbed to his injuries.
N. 42nd Street is currently closed between Hillsborough Ave and Comanche Ave as officers investigate the incident. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area to allow for the investigation to be conducted.
