TAMPA, FL. (March 03, 2025) – The Tampa Police Department is pleased to announce its 2025 TPD Community and Resources Enhancing Success (C.A.R.E.S.) grant program. The purpose of this grant funding program is to assist community partners who are engaged in projects and programs benefiting those who live in the City of Tampa.

Community members interested in applying for TPD C.A.R.E.S. funding must support the spirit of the Tampa Police Department’s mission, which is to work in partnership with our community to reduce crime, improve quality of life, and make Tampa safer, together.

“These funds represent a valuable investment in our community,” said Chief Lee Bercaw. “Last year’s recipients made significant strides in supporting our youth and families. We hope to continue that positive impact again this year across the City of Tampa.”

TPD has increased the total amount available for the 2025 funding awards to $45,000. Grants will be awarded in tiers of $15,000, $10,000; $5,000; $2,000; or $1,000.

This program will provide funds to community groups, associations, agencies, or non-profit organizations holding a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) designation which provides services to residents within the municipal boundaries of the City of Tampa. The TPD C.A.R.E.S. funding must serve residents within the municipal boundaries of the City of Tampa by addressing a youth or adult program geared towards crime prevention and community engagement.
