TAMPA, FL. (January 01, 2025)- Tampa Police are investigating a shooting that injured a teen early Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 1:00am, officers patrolling the downtown area as part of the New Year’s Eve Operation located a shooting victim near N. Tampa Street and E. Cass Street.
The juvenile in her mid-teens was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting. While early in the investigation, the incident does not appear to be related to a previous shooting earlier in the evening.
